How do I disconnect an AirTag from my iPhone?
If you want to hand over an Apple AirTag for someone else to use, follow these instructions. If you don't, it will start warbling relentlessly when the new owner is using it because it is still connected to your phone and it is warning your friend a stalker is tracking them.

STEP 1 - locate the Find My app
STEP 2 - tap the Items icon
STEP 3 - look for the item you wish to disconnect and swipe left to show the delete button
STEP 4 - you'll need to drag the screen up to reveal the final remove button
STEP 5 - finally, tap the Remove button
If you have the AirTag nearby, you should hear it make a little warble to express its freedom - and it will start immediately start looking for another iPhone nearby to connect to because it really hates being an orphan.
